SANDRA BULLOCK STRUCK BY A BOMBSHELL: NOW WHAT?
March 17, 2010
Right about now, it’d be easy for celebs to think that their TV and film projects somehow shape their destinies in ways they don’t intend.
Consider the case of Bullock, James, and McGee (not a law firm or even lawful).
Jesse James’ affair with tattoo model, Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee, gives a whole new meaning to his 2009 TV show for Spike —“Jesse James is a Dead Man”.
And Sandra Bullock, who just won an Oscar for her role in “The Blind Side”, is now being touted as one of the most blindsided women to ever ride a motorcycle, hit the red carpet, or walk the planet.
The speech she gave after receiving a Golden Globe award this past January culminated in a loving nod to husband James. “I never knew what it felt like for someone to have my back,” she said, making women everywhere ponder the ‘have backiness’ of their own relationships.
But now, sadly, all they can think about is that while Bullock was acting in the movie that led to the comment about her back, Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee was spending a lot of time lying prone on hers.
By way of explaining to Michelle that it was okay for him to fool around, Jesse told her that Sandra lives in her home in Austin while he revs things up in L.A.
To my mind, that home needs some new accessories—a few well-chosen mirrors that can help Sandra gain a more realistic and helpful view of this trying situation….
like the Batsu Mirror by Powell and Bonnell (www.powellandbonnell.com),
or the Beaton Mirror from Niermann Weeks (www.niermannweeks.com).
Here’s what I’d like to suggest to Sandra and anyone else who’s been blindsided by a bombshell: Hang a large mirror on each of two facing walls, stand between them, and remind yourself just how special you are inside and out. Say the following words out loud and often: I HAVE MY BACK.
